—up to His words:

“O People of the Scripture! There has now come to you Our Messenger, making things clear to you after an interval in which no messengers were sent, lest you say, ‘No bearer of glad tidings or warner ever came to us.’ Indeed, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner has now come to you, and Allah has power over all things.” ⦗5:19⦘

The Fourth Point:

The law revealed in the Torah is characterized chiefly by rigor, whereas the law of the Gospel leans toward gentleness. The law of the Quran, however, is balanced, uniting both traits. The Exalted says:

“Thus We have made you a middle nation.” ⦗2:143⦘

And He says, describing this community:

“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are stern toward the disbelievers, merciful among themselves.” ⦗48:29⦘

He also says:

“Allah will bring forth a people whom He loves and who love Him, humble toward the believers, mighty against the disbelievers.” ⦗5:54⦘
