These people go so far as to claim that the revelation and the divine discourse brought by the messengers are nothing more than an effusion from this so-called Active Intellect upon the hearts of the prophets. According to them, Allah—exalted be He—did not know Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Muhammad, or any of the other messengers, and in fact He is unaware of particulars altogether. Indeed, in the view of Aristotle and his followers, He knows nothing at all; moreover, they hold that He created nothing and is incapable of creating anything—let alone possessing power over all things or encompassing everything in His knowledge.
Aristotle and his people were polytheists who worshipped idols in Macedonia, Athens, and other cities of the Greek philosophers. He served as minister to Alexander son of Philip the Macedonian, which was roughly three hundred years before Christ—peace be upon him—and he was certainly not the minister of Dhu’l-Qarnayn who built the barrier against Gog and Magog.
