and the descendants of the Egyptians the children of Pharaoh, until the term was broadened still further so that even the newborn of the livestock were referred to as the offspring of the one who owned them.

In the Psalms of David it says:

“You are My son; ask of Me and I will grant you.”

And in the Gospel it says of the Messiah:

“I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”

He also said:

“When you pray, say: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name; do for us such-and-such.’”

They likewise maintain of the saints that the Holy Spirit dwells within them, just as it dwelt in David and in other prophets; indeed, according to them, God Himself indwells all the righteous.
