Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

against Him in the Quran more than He magnifies the fabrications of any other people, as He says:

“And they say, ‘The Most Merciful has taken a son.’ You have indeed come with something monstrous! The heavens are almost torn apart at it, the earth split open, and the mountains collapse in ruin that they should claim for the Most Merciful a son. It is not befitting the Most Merciful to take a son. There is none in the heavens or on earth but will come to the Most Merciful as a servant. He has counted them and numbered them exactly, and each of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.”
(Surah Maryam 88–95)

In the two Ṣaḥīḥs it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: ‘The son of Adam denies Me, though he has no right to do so; and he reviles Me, though he has no right to do so. As for his reviling Me, it is his saying, “Allah has taken a child,” whereas I am al-Ahad, al-Ṣamad; I neither beget nor am I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me. As for his denying Me, it is his saying, “He will never bring me back as He created me the first time,” yet creating him the first time is no easier for Me than re-creating him.’”

Al-Bukhārī also narrates from Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: ‘The son of Adam denies Me, though he has no right to do so; and he reviles Me, though he has no right to do so. His denial of Me is his claim that I am unable to resurrect him as I created him the first time. His reviling Me is his saying, “I have a child.” Exalted am I above taking a consort or a child.’”
