This very analogy nullifies your declaration that “God is higher, greater, more majestic, and mightier,” for God is indeed far more exalted, greater, and more magnificent than everything, while the sun is only one of His signs, a creature among His creatures.
Yet if someone were to say, “The sun settled inside a woman’s body and then came out of her birth canal,” every rational person would recognize the absurdity of such a statement and attribute it to gross ignorance or insanity—whether he insists that the actual body of the sun descended or not.
You, however, say that the Lord of the worlds dwelt in Mary’s womb, and most of you—such as the Melkites and Jacobites—add that He emerged from Mary’s birth canal.
If someone were to make the same claim about something far smaller—a single star, a mountain, or a massive boulder—that it had been in a woman’s belly and then exited through her private part, people would laugh at him. How much more preposterous, then, is the one who asserts such a thing about the Lord of all creation!
And when they say, “God descended to the lowest heaven,” or “He descended to the Mount and spoke to Moses from the bush,” or “in a pillar of cloud,” and the like—there is in none of that
