It is not befitting for the Most Merciful to take a child. Every being in the heavens and on the earth shall come to the Most Merciful only as a servant. He has counted them all and enumerated them precisely, and each one of them will appear before Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. ⦗Maryam 19:92–95⦘

The Exalted also says:

“The Messiah would never disdain to be a servant of Allah, nor would the angels who are nearest to Him.” ⦗An-Nisāʾ 4:172⦘

And He says:

“Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelief after you have submitted?” ⦗Āl ʿImrān 3:80⦘

In the Ṣaḥīḥ it is related that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Allah, Exalted be He, says: ‘The son of Adam has denied Me, and he has no right to do so; the son of Adam has reviled Me, and he has no right to do so. His denial of Me is his saying, “How will He bring me back as He created me the first time?” Yet the first creation is no easier for Me than bringing him back. His reviling of Me is his saying, “Allah has taken a child,” but I am the One, the Ever-Besought, who neither begets nor is begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.’”
