Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-Masīh - Ibn Taimiya - (4/37)

—yet the factions among them split into rival camps; so woe to those who have done wrong for the torment of a painful day. (al-Zukhruf 43:59–65)

In the two Ṣaḥīḥ collections it is related that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said:

“It will not be long before the son of Mary descends among you as a just arbiter and an equitable leader; he will break the cross, kill the swine, and abolish the jizya.”

The Exalted One also says:

“They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; it was only made to appear so to them. Those who differ about him are full of doubt, having no knowledge of it except the pursuit of conjecture, and they certainly did not kill him. Rather, Allah raised him up to Himself, and Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.” (al-Nisāʾ 4:157–158)

مُسْتَقِيمٌ - فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ} [الزخرف: ٥٩ - ٦٥] . وَفِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " «يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِيكُمُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ حَكَمًا عَدْلًا، وَإِمَامًا مُقْسِطًا، فَيَكْسِرُ الصَّلِيبَ، وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ، وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ» . " وَقَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مَا لَهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينًا - بَلْ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا} [النساء: ١٥٧ - ١٥٨] .
