or in interpreting his speech, or deliberately altered his religion, the Messiah—peace be upon him—incurs no blame for that. He was only a messenger whose duty was to convey the message with perfect clarity.

Allah, exalted is He, has also told us that the very first words uttered by the Messiah were:
“Indeed, I am the servant of Allah; He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet, and He has made me blessed wherever I may be and has enjoined upon me prayer and almsgiving as long as I live, and He has made me dutiful to my mother and has not made me arrogant or miserable.” ⦗Maryam: 30–32⦘

He then invoked peace for himself, saying:
“Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I am raised alive.” ⦗Maryam: 33⦘

Yet the Christians respond, “Upon us be peace from him,” just as certain extremist sects say the same about those to whom they ascribe divinity—such as the Nusayriyyah concerning ‘Ali, or the Hakimiyyah concerning al-Hakim.

Second, it may be said that Allah has nowhere stated that the Messiah either died or was killed.
