rather, they only manage to overcome a particular faction of Muslims because of those Muslims’ sins; then Allah reinforces the believers against them. Now, had the Christians really been the ones who follow the Messiah and the Muslims been unbelievers in him, they would necessarily have prevailed over all Muslims—for every Muslim denies the Messiah’s divinity and regards the Christians as unbelievers. It is therefore evident that the true followers of the Messiah are the Muslims, not the Christians.
