Section: Nullifying Their Use of Isolated Quranic Passages—Once Again—to Support Their Falsehood, and Affirming That the Quran Must Be Taken as a Whole

As for their statement, “We possess these testimonies and proofs from the Scripture that lies in the hands of those people,”

the reply is: Their citation of this Book and their attempt to draw evidence from it are invalid in every respect. The one who brought this Book—the reports about him reaching the level of mass transmission—clearly informed us that he was sent to them, that if they do not believe in him they are disbelievers who deserve to be fought, and that whoever does not deem their combat lawful is himself a disbeliever. The Quran is filled with passages declaring their unbelief. Therefore, if this man is indeed a Messenger from Allah and he has pronounced them unbelievers, their unbelief is decisively established.

A Messenger speaks nothing about Allah but the truth; he never lies about Allah in anything whatsoever. Whoever forges a lie against Allah, even in a single word, is among those who fabricate falsehood against Him and is deserving of the punishment reserved for liars, as He, exalted be He, said:
