that other people have simply foisted upon you; on the contrary, you yourselves state it openly, as your own creed, already cited, reads:
“We believe in one God, the Father, Ruler of all, Creator of what is seen and what is unseen; and in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten of the very essence of His Father, not created, equal to the Father in essence; and in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who, together with the Father, is worshipped and glorified.”
This is a plain avowal of three lords, and that the Son is “true God from true God.” After having explicitly declared three lords and affirming that the Son is a true god sprung from a true god, you still say: “Yet all of that is one God.” Thus you are openly asserting a plurality of deities while professing belief in a single God.
Had you not added anything that implies He is a separate essence, one might have construed your words as merely listing attributes. In that case, however, your statement would be even more outrageous, for you would then have made the Messiah Himself to be the very one God—the Father, the Creator of all that is seen and unseen. That would surpass even your present unbelief, although, in fact, it is the real consequence of your doctrine.
Indeed, you say, “The Messiah is God,” and you also say, “He is the Son of God”—precisely the two claims Allah has related from you in His revelation and on account of which He has pronounced you disbelievers. This is not the position of one faction while another
