has never been voiced by any rational person—Christian or otherwise. No one says, for example, that the Father is the God of Abraham, the Son the God of Isaac, and the Holy Spirit the God of Jacob. On the contrary, even while affirming the Trinity they all agree that there is but one God for all the messengers; the God of one is not one hypostasis and the God of another a different hypostasis. It is therefore clear that the explanations they attach to the prophets’ words are fabrications—acceptable neither within the triune scheme they themselves invented nor to the people of tawḥīd (pure monotheism) who follow God’s messengers.
