And the Exalted One also says:
“Whenever guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance shall never go astray nor come to grief.” ⦗Ta-Ha 20:123⦘.
He likewise calls it the Light of God, as in His statement:
“Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The likeness of His light is that of a niche containing a lamp; the lamp is in a glass, the glass as though it were a sparkling star lit from a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost shine even if no fire touched it—light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills, and Allah sets forth parables for mankind; Allah has full knowledge of all things.” ⦗An-Nur 24:35⦘.
Such, then, is the guidance of God, and the Light of God is the Spirit of God, just as He, exalted is He, says:
“And thus We have revealed to you a spirit from Our command. You did not know what the Scripture was, nor faith, but We made it a light by which We guide whom We will among Our servants.” ⦗Ash-Shura 42:52⦘.
He likewise says:
“Those are the ones in whose hearts He has inscribed faith and whom He has strengthened with a spirit from Him.” ⦗Al-Mujādilah 58:22⦘.
