through Moses; and His manifestation from the mountains of Paran is the disclosure of His light through Muhammad. Concerning these three places Allah swore in the Qur’an, saying:
“By the fig and the olive, and by Mount Sinai, and by this secure city.” (At-Tin 1-3)
The land of the fig and the olive is the Holy Land from which the Messiah was sent, where the prophets of the Children of Israel lived, and to which Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—was taken by night, so that his prophethood might be made evident there. Mount Sinai is the place where Allah spoke to Moses son of ʿImrān, and this secure city is Mecca, from which Allah sent Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—and to whom He revealed the Qur’an.
بِمُوسَى، وَاسْتِعْلَانُهُ مِن جِبَالِ فَارَانَ هُوَ ظُهُورُ نُورِهِ بِمُحَمَّدٍ.
وَبِهَذِهِ الْأَمَاكِنِ الثَّلَاثَةِ أَقْسَمَ اللَّهُ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِقَوْلِهِ:
{وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ وَطُورِ سِينِينَ وَهَذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ}
[التين: ١]

فَبَلَدُ التِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ هِيَ الْأَرْضُ الْمُقَدَّسَةُ الَّتِي بُعِثَ مِنْهَا الْمَسِيحُ، وَكَانَ بِهَا أَنْبِيَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَأُسْرِيَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْهَا وَظَهَرَتْ بِهَا نُبُوَّتُهُ. وَطُورُ سِينِينَ الْمَكَانُ الَّذِي كَلَّمَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ مُوسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ، وَهَذَا الْبَلَدُ الْأَمِينُ هُوَ بَلَدُ مَكَّةَ الَّتِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنْزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنَ.
