Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-MasīhIbn Taimiya

And the Muslims acknowledge that everyone who remained upon the religion of the Messiah—peace be upon him—in the form that was neither altered nor distorted has, through the Messiah, found guidance after error; whereas anyone from the Children of Israel who rejected him is astray—indeed, an unbeliever, as the Exalted says:

“When Allah said, ‘O Jesus, I will take you and raise you to Myself, purify you from those who disbelieve, and place those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me you will all return, and I will judge between you regarding that over which you used to differ.’” (Āl ʿImrān 55). (55)

“As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.” (Āl ʿImrān 56). (56)

“But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, He will give them their full rewards; and Allah does not love the wrongdoers.” (Āl ʿImrān 57)

The Exalted also said:

“O you who believe, be supporters of Allah, just as Jesus son of Mary said to the disciples, ‘Who are my supporters for Allah?’ The disciples replied, ‘We are the supporters of Allah.’ A group from the Children of Israel then believed while another group disbelieved; so We strengthened those who believed against their enemies, and they prevailed.” (Aṣ-Ṣaff 14).

His statement, “The sun will rise over the earth, and by it the misguided will find guidance, while the Children of Israel will stray from it,” accords with His words in the Torah: “God came from Mount Sinai, shone forth from Seir, and was manifest from the mountains of Paran.” For His shining forth from Seir is the manifestation of His light through the Messiah, just as His coming from Mount Sinai is the emergence of His light—
