Allah the Exalted says:

“Therefore, set your face toward the religion, upright and devoted— the fitrah (innate disposition) of Allah upon which He has created humankind. Let there be no change in the creation of Allah. That is the sound religion, yet most people do not know— turning to Him in repentance; fear Him, establish the prayer, and do not be among the polytheists— those who split up their religion and became sects, each faction exulting in what it possessed.” ⦗Ar-Rum 30:30-32⦘.

He, Exalted is He, also says:

“We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and gave them shelter on a height, a place of rest and running water— ‘O messengers, eat of the wholesome things and act righteously; I am fully aware of what you do. Indeed, this community of yours is one single community, and I am your Lord, so be mindful of Me.’ Yet they tore their affair apart among themselves into writings; each faction rejoiced in what it possessed.” ⦗Al-Muʾminūn 23:50-53⦘.

And He, the Exalted, says:

“He has ordained for you in religion what He enjoined upon Noah, and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: ‘Uphold the religion and do not divide within it.’ What you call the polytheists to is burdensome for them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back to Him.” ⦗Ash-Shūrā 42:13⦘.

Moreover, Allah—blessed and exalted is He—singled out Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him,
