he was killed. Agreed upon.
91 – The fourth: Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked, “Messenger of Allah, which charity is rewarded most highly?” He replied, “That you give charity while you are healthy yet tight-fisted, fearing poverty and hoping for wealth. Do not delay it until the soul reaches the ḥulqūm (windpipe), when you will then say, ‘Give so-and-so this and so-and-so that,’ although it has already come to belong to so-and-so.” Agreed upon.

92 – The fifth: Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) related that on the Day of Uḥud the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) picked up a sword and said, “Who will take this from me?” They all stretched out their hands, each man saying, “I will! I will!” He then asked, “Who will take it and give it its due?” The people hesitated, so Abū Dujānah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “I will take it and give it its due.” With it he split the heads of the idolaters. I heard this from your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).’” Related by al-Bukhārī.
