a journey during which the people were exposed to severe hardship. ‘Abd Allah ibn Ubayy said, “Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until they disperse(1),” and he added, “If we return to Madinah, the mightier will surely expel the weaker from it.” I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him of what had happened.
