1030 – Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy envelops them (1), the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him.” Narrated by Muslim.
185 – Chapter: The Virtue of Wudu (ritual ablution)
Allah, the Exalted, says: “O you who believe! When you rise for prayer, wash your faces … Allah does not wish to place any hardship upon you; rather, He wishes to purify you and to perfect His favor upon you so that you may give thanks” (al-Ma’idah 6).
1031 – Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “My nation will be summoned on the Day of Resurrection with radiant faces and gleaming limbs (2) from the traces of wudu. So whoever among you can extend his radiance, let him do so.” Agreed upon.
1032 – He also said: I heard my close companion, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, say, “The adornment of the believer (in Paradise) will reach as far as the water of wudu reaches.” Narrated by Muslim.
1033 – ʿUthman ibn ʿAffan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever performs wudu and perfects it, his sins depart from his body—even from beneath his fingernails.” Narrated by Muslim.
