In another version it states: “He would even slaughter a sheep and send to her intimate friends (1) enough of it to meet their needs.”
One narration says that when he slaughtered a sheep he would order, “Send it to Khadijah’s friends.”
In yet another report ʿĀʾishah said: Hālah bint Khuwaylid, Khadijah’s sister, once sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Recognizing the manner in which Khadijah used to ask permission (2), he was delighted and said, “O Allah, (here is) Hālah bint Khuwaylid!”
Her expression “fartaḥa” is written with a ḥāʾ. Al-Humaydī, in his work Joining the Two Ṣaḥīḥs, records it as “fartāʿa” with an ʿayn, meaning: he was moved by it.
349 – Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I set out on a journey with Jarīr ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bajalī (may Allah be pleased with him), and he kept serving me (3). I said to him, “Do not do that.” He replied, “I saw the Helpers treat the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in just this way, so I have sworn that I will never travel with one of them without serving him.” Agreed upon by al-Bukhārī and Muslim.

350 – Yazīd ibn Ḥayyān reported: I set out along with Ḥuṣayn ibn Sabrah and ʿAmr ibn Muslim
