237 – Jundub ibn ʿAbd Allah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever performs the dawn prayer is under Allah’s protection (1). Therefore let not Allah call you to account for violating that protection, for whoever He calls to account for violating it, He will overtake him and then cast him (2) face-first into the Fire of Hell.” Narrated by Muslim.
238 – Ibn ʿUmar, may Allah be pleased with them both, related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim: he does not wrong him, nor forsake him (3). Whoever is occupied with meeting his brother’s need, Allah will be occupied with meeting his need; whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him of one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection; and whoever conceals a Muslim’s faults, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.” Agreed upon.
239 – Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The Muslim is a brother to the Muslim; he neither betrays him, nor lies to him, nor abandons him. Every Muslim’s honour, wealth, and blood are inviolable to another Muslim. Piety is here”—and he pointed to his chest—“It is sufficient evil for a person to despise (4) his Muslim brother.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who declared it a sound hadith.
240 – He (Abu Hurayrah) also said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Do not envy one another, do not inflate prices against one another through najsh, do not hate one another, and do not turn your backs on one another; and let none of you sell over the sale of his brother. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not wrong him, nor look down on him, nor abandon him. Piety is here”—and he pointed to his chest three times—“It is enough evil for a person to look down on his Muslim brother. The whole of a Muslim is sacred to another Muslim: his blood, his property, and his honour.” Narrated by Muslim.
