15 – It is related that Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyab said during the illness in which he died, “When I pass away, do not pitch a canopy over my grave.” (2)
16 – Sālim, the client of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn, reported that Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī, Abū Jaʿfar, stipulated in his will: “Do not raise my grave above ground level.” (3)
17 – ʿAmr ibn Sharḥabīl said, “Do not elevate my burial mound—meaning the grave—for I have seen the Emigrants dislike that.” (4)

القبور محدثة (١).
١٥ - عن سعيد بن المسيب أنه قال في مرضه الذي مات فيه : إذا ما مت، فلا تضربوا على قبري فسطاطاً (٢).
١٦ - عن سالم مولى عبد الله بن علي بن حسين قال :
أوصى محمد بن علي أبو جعفر قال :
«لا ترفعوا قبري على الأرض» (٣).
١٧ - عن عمرو بن شرحبيل قال :
«لا ترفعوا جدثي - يعني القبر - فإني رأيت المهاجرين يكرهون ذلك» (٤).
