Taḥdhīr al-SājidNasir al-Din al-Albani

Tread softly; I imagine the very crust of the earth is nothing but these human remains.
If you can, move gently through the air—do not swagger over the relics of God’s servants.

It is perfectly clear that when a grave is neither visible nor its location known, no evident harm results. By plain observation we see that pagan and polytheistic practices attach only to elevated, conspicuous graves—even if they are counterfeit—not to graves that have crumbled and disappeared, even when they are genuine. Sound wisdom therefore demands that the two be treated differently, and this is precisely what the Sharia has established, as we showed earlier. They must not be placed on the same footing. Allah is the One whose help we seek.

Answer to the Fifth Objection

As for the claim that Abū Jandal—may Allah be pleased with him—built a mosque over the grave of Abū Basīr, may Allah be pleased with him, during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it is an objection of no real weight
