In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Introduction
All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help and forgiveness, and repent to Him. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils within ourselves and from our wicked deeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray; and whomever He leads astray, none can guide. I testify that none is worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah shower abundant blessings and peace upon him, his family, and his Companions. To proceed:
The Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is His firm rope and His straight path. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, described it in sublime terms, saying:
“O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.” [al-Nisā’: 174].
He, Exalted is He, also said:
“There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book, through which Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of peace.” [al-Mā’idah: 15, 16].
He, Mighty and Majestic, said:
“O mankind, there has come to you an admonition from your Lord, a healing for what is in the hearts, and guidance and mercy for the believers.” [Yūnus: 57].
He, Glorified and Exalted is He, said:
“We have sent down to you the Book as an explanation of all things, and as guidance, mercy, and glad tidings for the Muslims.” [al-Nahl: 89].
He, Majestic and Exalted, said:
“This is a blessed Book that We have sent down to you, so that they may contemplate its verses and so that people of understanding may take heed.” [Sād: 29].
He, Glorified is He, said:
“Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; it is a revelation from One All-Wise, Praiseworthy.” [Fussilat: 42].
The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “To proceed: the best speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.” (1)
