Handwritten Copies of the Abridged Epistle (1):
When I began editing this abridged epistle, two manuscripts were at my disposal:
The first: a manuscript kept in the Central Library of King Saud University in Riyadh under catalog number (1684).
Total leaves: (18) folios.
Scribe: Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ṣunayʿ (d. 1365 AH).
Lines per page: (17) lines.
It is a reliable copy, transcribed from a version penned by Muḥammad al-Sulaymān al-ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Bassām in 1363 AH and collated against the original.
(1) On this occasion I would like to extend my sincere thanks to my noble brother, the esteemed scholar Rashid b. Muhammad al-Asakir, who supplied me with a printed copy of the abridged treatise together with precious information about it. May Allah reward him abundantly.

توفر لي عند الشروع في تحقيق هذه الرسالة المختصرة، نسختان:
الأولى: خطية، محفوظة في المكتبة المركزية بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض تحت رقم (١٦٨٤).
وعدد أوراقها: (١٨) ورقة.
ناسخها: الشيخ/ سليمان الصنيع (ت ١٣٦٥ هـ)
ومسطرتها: (١٧) سطرا.
وهي نسخة حسنة، منقولة من نسخة بخط محمد السليمان العبد العزيز البسام في ١٣٦٣ هـ، وقوبلت على الأصل.
