the rites of Hajj that most pilgrims require in most circumstances, set out in a concise form (1); for I had, early in my life, composed a manual of these rites (2) in which I cited numerous supplications (3) and, in its legal rulings, simply followed the scholars whose opinions I was then adopting. In the present work, however, I have recorded—briefly and clearly—whatever has become evident to me of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. There is no might nor power except with Allah. (4)

فيه أدعيةً كثيرةً، وقلَّدتُ في الأحكامِ مَنِ اتَّبَعْتُهُ قبلي مِنَ العلماءِ، وكتبتُ في هذا ما تبيَّنَ لي مِنْ سُنَّةِ رسولِ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ مختصَرًا مبيَّنًا، ولَا حولَ ولَا قوَّةَ إلَّا باللهِ.
