Manāsik al-ḤajjIbn Taimiya

Once he has thrown the pebbles at Jamrat al-ʿAqabah, he should slaughter his hady (sacrificial offering)(1) if he has one(2).
It is recommended that camels be sacrificed(3) while facing the qiblah, standing with their left fore-leg bound(4); whereas cattle and sheep should be laid on their left side, likewise oriented toward the qiblah.
He then says: “In the name of Allah; Allah is the Greatest. O Allah(5), it is from You and for You.”(6)

Abu 'Umar said: As for 'Uthman and 'Aishah, narrations to the contrary are also reported from them, and the same is true for Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib. Malik (1/338) transmits, through Ja'far ibn Muhammad from his father, that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib "kept reciting the talbiyah during the Hajj until the sun passed its zenith on the Day of 'Arafah, whereupon he stopped." Malik likewise (1/338) relates the cessation of the talbiyah at 'Arafah from Ibn 'Umar and 'Aishah, may Allah be pleased with them. Ibn Hazm states in al-Muhalla (5/133): "The report from 'Ali is not sound because its chain is broken; what is soundly reported from him says the opposite. As for the Mother of the Believers and Ibn 'Umar, other Companions held a different view." I add: among those from whom talbiyah at 'Arafah is reported are: 'Umar and Ibn al-Zubayr—related by al-Bayhaqi (9445); 'Ali and Ibn 'Abbas—related by al-Nasa'i (3006) and by Ibn Abi Shaybah (15075); and Ibn Mas'ud—also related by Ibn Abi Shaybah (15072). (1) In MSS A and B the reading is “hadyaan” (a sacrificial animal). (2) The word “hadya” (offering) is omitted in MSS A and B. (3) In MSS A and B the verb reads “yanhar” (he slaughters). (4) In MS B the reading is “yadha”. (5) MS B adds the word “hadha” (this). (6) Reported by Ahmad (15022), Abu Dawud (2795) and Ibn Majah (3121) from the hadith of …
