Manāsik al-Ḥajj - Ibn Taimiya - (15)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy (1).

[With His help we seek assistance, and may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad, his family, and all his companions. Shaykh al-Islam said] (2):

Praise belongs to Allah; we laud Him, seek His aid, and ask Him for guidance (3). We beg His forgiveness and seek refuge in Allah from the evils within ourselves and from the misdeeds of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, none can mislead, and whomever He allows to stray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah send abundant peace and blessings upon him, his family, and his companions (4).

As for what follows:

Many Muslims have repeatedly asked me to write a clarification of

(4) The word “wa-sahbihi” (and his Companions) is missing in manuscript A.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم (١) [وبه نستعين، وصلى الله على محمد وآله وصحبه أجمعين، قال شيخ الإسلام] (٢) : الحمدُ للهِ، نحمدُه، ونستعينُه، ونستهديه (٣) ، ونستغفرُه، ونعوذُ باللهِ منْ شرورِ أنفسِنا، ومِنْ سيِّئاتِ أعمالِنا، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فلَا مُضِلَّ لهُ، ومَنْ يُضْلِلْ فلَا هادِيَ لهُ، وأشهدُ أنْ لَا إلهَ إلَّا اللهُ وحدَه لا شريكَ لهُ، وأشهدُ أنَّ محمدًا عبدُه ورسولُه، صلَّى اللَّهُ عليهِ، وعلَى آلِه وصحبِه (٤) ، وسلَّمَ تسليمًا كثيرًا. أمَّا بعدُ: فقدْ تكرَّرَ السؤالُ مِنْ كثيرٍ منَ المسلمينَ أنْ أَكْتُبَ في بيانِ
