and they also implore Allah for the highest ranks attainable to them—the rank of spiritual leadership (imamate) and the station of the utterly truthful (siddīqiyyah).

By Allah, how lofty these qualities are, how elevated these aspirations, how sublime these goals, and how pure those souls!

All praise is due to Allah for His bounty toward them and His gracious kindness that conducted them to these stations and degrees. Praise belongs to Allah on the tongues of all His servants: He has laid out these traits, urged them to adopt them, aided those who set out upon the path, and smoothed the way for whoever seeks His good pleasure. Allah alone is the Granter of success and the Bestower of help.
