Taysir al-Latif al-Mannan fi Khulasat Tafsir al-QuranAbd al-Rahman al-Sadi’

And let us be content with this sample of verses that treat the subject of divine oneness, together with all they implicitly contain about reward and resurrection, and about the messengers and the scriptures—matters that Allah has paired with evidences and proofs leading to complete knowledge and unshakable certainty.

From this it is clear that these three fundamentals are inseparable: divine oneness, messengership, and the final return. Likewise, the verses that speak of recompense contain a great deal (1) that pertains to both divine oneness and messengership. Exalted is He who has placed within His speech guidance, right direction, and the rectification of His servants!

(1) The T. and Kh. copies read: "shay un kathir" (many things), whereas the text adopted here accords with standard grammatical rules.
