• He also denies that anything at all, whether on earth or in heaven, can be concealed from Him, or that anything can ever frustrate Him; this is because His knowledge surrounds everything and His power is perfect.
• He denies any purposelessness in His creation or in His legislation, for His wisdom is flawless. This is a tremendous insight—store it in the vault of your heart, for it is the finest and most beneficial of treasures.
• Likewise, He has declared that His Book, the Quran, is free of doubt, crookedness, uncertainty, and the like. This certifies that it is the truth in what it relates and in what it rules: its narratives are the most truthful, most precise, and most beneficial to people, and its rulings are wholly perfect—characterized by complete justice, beauty, and steadiness upon the straight path.
• Concerning His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, He said, “Your companion has neither strayed nor erred” (al-Najm 53:2). In this He negates every form of misguidance from him—whether ignorance, the paucity or deficiency of knowledge, or unsound knowledge—as well as every form of deviant intent. This shows that he is, without exception, the most knowledgeable of creation, the most rightly guided, the foremost in knowledge, certainty, and faith; that he is the sincerest of all creatures toward others, the most devoted to Allah, the most intent on what is with Him, and the farthest removed from base motives.
• Likewise, He has repudiated every deficiency that the Prophet’s enemies alleged against him and affirmed that he stands at the loftiest peak of the perfections that negate those flaws.
• Allah has also declared that the inhabitants of Paradise are free of sorrow, distress, fatigue, weariness, death, and every other affliction. This indicates the perfection of their joy, the uninterrupted and complete nature of their bliss, the perfection of their life, the vigor of their youth, the soundness of their health, and the totality of their spiritual, emotional, and physical delight from every angle—so that nothing higher exists for which they could wish in exchange.
• Conversely, whenever the Quran negates attributes of perfection for anything, it necessarily affirms for that thing the opposite deficiency. Thus it has denied to the idols of the polytheists every verbal, active, and essential perfection, demonstrating that they are deficient in every respect and are unworthy of an atom’s weight of worship.
