Taysir al-Latif al-Mannan fi Khulasat Tafsir al-QuranAbd al-Rahman al-Sadi’

• Another lesson: In the accounts of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Aaron, and Elias, Allah says, “Peace be upon Noah throughout all peoples” ⦗As-Saffāt 79⦘ and “Peace be upon Abraham” ⦗As-Saffāt 109⦘, and He follows each of these salutations with the words, “Thus do We reward those who excel in goodness” ⦗As-Saffāt 80, 105, 109, 121, 131⦘. Through this, the Creator promises that every person who excels—devoting himself to worship while doing good to Allah’s servants—will, according to the measure of his excellence, receive from Allah praiseworthy renown and the prayers of mankind. This is a reward both immediate and deferred; it is part of the glad tidings granted in this worldly life and a sign of true felicity.
