• Moreover, because the Creator loves harmony between the two spouses and prefers it to every alternative, He said: “If they both truly desire reconciliation, Allah will bring harmony between them”—that is, through sound counsel, gentle words, and gracious promises that draw hearts and soften them.

• “Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing,” fully aware of what is hidden and what is manifest. Out of the perfection of His knowledge and wisdom He has ordained for you these noble rulings, the only path by which rights are properly fulfilled: “Who could judge better than Allah for a people who are certain?” (al-Māʾidah 50).
