“And as for the matter of age, what has reached you has likewise reached me. As for the dependants you spoke of, your dependants are now my dependants.”
Thereafter the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Salama; Allah answered her supplication and granted her someone better than Abu Salama. From that day on, Hind al-Makhzūmiyya was no longer a mother to Salama alone—she became a mother to all the believers. May Allah brighten the face of Umm Salama in Paradise, be pleased with her, and make her pleased (1).

وأمَّا ذكرت من السِّنِّ فقد أصابني مثل الذي أصابك ...
وأمَّا ما ذكرت من العيال، فإنَّما عيالك عيالي).
ثمَّ تزوج رسول الله ﷺ من أمِّ سلمة؛ فاستجاب الله دعاءها، وأخلفها خيرًا من أبي سلمة.
ومنذ ذلك اليوم لم تبق هند المخزوميَّة أُماً لسلمة وحده؛ وإنما غدت أُماً لجميع المؤمنين.
نضَّر الله وجه أمِّ سلمة في الجنَّة ورضي عنها وأرضاها (١).
