288 – Umm Ḥabībah, Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, ‘Whoever performs twelve rakʿahs during the day and night, a house will be built for him in Paradise.’” Muslim recorded it, and in one wording he added: “as a voluntary act.”
Al-Tirmidhī has a similar narration in which he specifies: “four before Zuhr, two after it, two after Maghrib, two after ʿIshāʾ, and two before the Fajr prayer.” (1)
The Five also transmit from her: “Whoever consistently offers four rakʿahs before Zuhr and four after it, Allah, Exalted is He, will make the Fire forbidden for him.” (2)

Hadith grading:
The hadith is ṣaḥīḥ; its primary wording is found in Muslim. The additional wording reported by the Five is likewise authentic, and its transmitters are those relied upon by both al-Bukhārī and Muslim. The explanatory addition cited by al-Tirmidhī also comes from Umm Ḥabībah in the same sense as Muslim’s report. Al-Tirmidhī said of it, “It is a ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ hadith,” and al-Ḥākim declared it sound (1/456).
