his outcome will be that he is not condemned to remain in the Fire forever; instead, he will be taken out of it and then admitted to Paradise.
Some scholars said: The true monotheist is not cast into Hell as the unbelievers are cast, nor does he remain there as they remain. If a servant perfects his tawḥīd and devotes it to Allah with complete sincerity—fulfilling all its conditions with his heart, tongue, and limbs, or at the very least with his heart and tongue at the moment of death—this necessitates the forgiveness of all his previous sins and prevents him from entering the Fire altogether.
Whoever’s heart is truly realized through the word of tawḥīd has every attachment other than Allah expelled from it—whether love, veneration, exaltation, awe, fear, hope, or reliance. At that point all his sins and transgressions are burned away, even if they were as abundant as the foam upon the sea, and they may even be turned into good deeds. Such is the greatest and most powerful cause: were but a speck of it placed upon mountains of sins and offences, it would convert them into good deeds. As recorded in the Musnad (26847) from Umm Hānī, the Prophet ﷺ said, “La ilaha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah) leaves no sin behind, and no deed can overtake it.” End of his words—may Allah have mercy on him.
