Such harshness may force entire populations into exile, cut lives short, seize wealth, or bring about any number of other harms that a victorious enemy metes out at will.
Reflect, dear reader, on what the hostile state of Israel is doing to the Muslims: usurping their lands, driving their leaders into displacement, killing their innocents, and torturing those who fall under its power. Then look at Muslim minorities elsewhere and see how they are oppressed under the control of their adversaries. We ask Allah to grant honor to Islam and the Muslims.
- “The gloating of enemies” refers to their rejoicing over whatever affliction befalls a person—whether in his body, family, wealth, reputation, or any other calamity of life. The Prophet ﷺ sought refuge with Allah from such evils and guided his community to do the same, for they give rise to these lamentable outcomes.
والقسوة قد تسبب جلاء عن الديار، أو هلاكًا في الأعمار، أو استيلاءً على الأموال، أو غير ذلك من أنواع المضار التي يتعسفها العدو الغالب.
وتأمل -أيها القاريء الكريم- ما تفعله دولة إسرائيل العدو في المسلمين من استيلاء على بلدانهم، وتشريد لزعمائهم، وقتل لأبريائهم، وتعذيب لما تحت أيديهم منهم، وانظر إلى الأقليات الإِسلامية؛ كيف هم مضطهدون تحت سيطرة أعدائهم؛ نسأل الله أن يعز الإِسلام والمسلمين.
٩ - "شماتة الأعداء" هو فرحهم بما يصيب الإنسان من نكبة في بدنه، أو أهله، أو ماله، أو سُمعته، أو غير ذلك من نكبات الحياة ومصائبها؛ فإنه ﷺ يستعيذ بالله تعالى، ويرشد أمته إلى الاستعاذة من هذه الشرور التي تسبب وينتج عنها هذه الأمور السيئة.
