5 – He implores Allah for complete protection and perfect preservation, a safeguard that surrounds him on every side so that no evil can pierce through, no calamity can reach him. In this way he is encircled by the fortress of Allah—before him and behind him, on his right and on his left, and from above him.

6 – He also seeks refuge with his Lord from being overwhelmed from beneath him without noticing: that the earth not swallow him as it swallowed Qārūn, that he not be drowned as Pharaoh was drowned, nor that a sudden, terrifying accident strike him, whether caused by heavy or light machinery. Allah knows best.
