Lessons derived from the ḥadīth:
The report establishes the recommended practice of wiping one’s face with both hands after finishing a supplication. This act reflects hopeful certainty that Allah has answered the petitioner’s prayer: it is as though the worshiper, having received his request in his outstretched hands and filled them with Allah’s bounty, now pours that goodness over his face. Truly, Allah is as His servant expects Him to be.
