1317 – Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Ṭūbā—bliss and felicity—awaits the one whose own flaw keeps him too busy to notice the flaws of other people.” Al-Bazzār recorded it with a fair chain of transmission.(1)

Status of the ḥadith:
Ibn Ḥajar graded it ḥasan (sound). Al-Manāwī stated: it was transmitted by al-ʿAskarī from Anas, by Abū Nuʿaym from al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī, and by al-Bazzār from Anas, and al-ʿIrāqī held that all of its chains are weak. Al-Haythamī said in Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid (10/229): its isnād contains al-Naḍr ibn Miḥraz and other weak narrators. The author of this work has nonetheless judged the composite isnād to be ḥasan when all its routes are considered together, and Allah knows best. -
Vocabulary:
– Ṭūbā: pronounced with a ḍamma on the ṭāʾ and ending with an alif maqṣūra; the name of a tree in Paradise. It is also interpreted as “a pleasant life in the Hereafter” or “wholesome felicity.” -
