Tawḍīḥ al-AḥkāmAbd Allah al-Bassam

—reported by Muslim (1977). Hence, this is a journey sanctioned by the Sacred Law and a praiseworthy, legitimate intention. Likewise, upon reaching al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, it is Sunnah to visit al-Baqīʿ and the martyrs of Uḥud, doing so to pray for their mercy and to draw lessons from their lives. He should also go to Qubāʾ Mosque to perform prayer there, for the Prophet ﷺ himself did all of this.

As for the other sites now widely promoted—such as the Mosque of the Two Qiblahs, the Seven Mosques, and Ghamāmah Mosque—there is no legal basis for travelling to them, because nothing has been reported to show that the Prophet ﷺ ever visited them. Acts of worship must rest on explicit proof, and these particular visits are neither firmly established nor confirmed.
