and they have turned into a herd of undiscerning followers, copying the enemies of Islam in their clothing, outward appearance, customs, traditions, licentiousness, and moral dissolution. In the eyes of those who merely claim to belong to Islam—lackeys of the unbelievers—the “reactionary fool” is now the person who keeps himself, his household, and his family from resembling or imitating them. Such a man is dismissed as a relic, trapped in the mindset of the earliest centuries.
Nor did matters stop there. Those among us who parade as the cultured and the learned began to assist them by spreading their toxins: distorting Muslim beliefs, attacking Islam and its rulings, and casting aspersions on its sources, all in an attempt to erase the features of Islam and tear what remains of it from the hearts of the few who still hold fast to it. These atheists have launched a savage war against Islam and have fanned its flames with the help of people from within whose hearts are diseased.
The greatest calamity, however, is that many Muslim leaders and authorities actually aid those atheists in their bid to topple Islam.
Yet our hope is in Allah alone. All planning rests in His hand; to Him belong creation and command. He has promised to preserve His religion and to make it prevail over every other way of life—even though the unbelievers may loathe it. The first rays of Islam’s dawn have begun to appear in the form of an awakened, conscious generation of believing youth. We ask Allah Most High to place upon their shoulders the duty of exalting His word and carrying it across East and West, delivering it to those who thirst for His call. On that day—Allah willing—victory will be achieved, the word of Allah will rise high, and His banner will be raised. The command belongs to Allah before and after, and on that day the believers will rejoice in Allah’s help.
