The text can, however, be reconciled with the opposing view by saying that the killer had no camels available at the time, or that the Prophet ﷺ brokered a settlement between the victim’s heirs and the perpetrator.

4 – Setting the diyah at twelve thousand is the position of the other three Imams, whereas Imām Abū Ḥanīfah holds that it should be ten thousand.
