1027 – Ibn ʿAbbās — may Allah be pleased with them both — reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “This one and this one are equal,” meaning the little finger and the thumb. Al-Bukhārī recorded it.
Abū Dāwūd and al-Tirmidhī transmit the wording: “The diyah for the fingers is the same, and for the teeth the same; the incisor and the molar are equivalent.”
Ibn Ḥibbān narrates: “The diyah for the fingers of the hands and the feet is equal: ten camels for every finger.” (1)
