913 – From Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with him): the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was served a qaṣʿa (large wooden bowl) of tharid (bread morsels soaked in meat broth). He said, “Eat from its edges and do not eat from the middle, for blessing descends upon the middle.” Narrated by the Four; this is al-Nasāʾī’s wording, and its chain is sound. (1)
