Reconciliation, as previously explained, is one of the most beneficial contracts. Through it conflicts are extinguished, wars are quelled, affairs are set right, hearts are satisfied, security is established, matters become stable, minds are put at ease, and the roots of evil are cut off. Hence the Almighty says, “There is no good in most of their private conversations, except for those who enjoin charity, or what is right, or reconciliation between people. Whoever does that seeking the pleasure of Allah—We shall grant him a tremendous reward” (An-Nisāʾ 114). He also says, “Reconciliation is better” (An-Nisāʾ 128).
