the doctrinal matters that every believer is required to affirm, exactly as they have come from Allah, exalted is He, and from His Messenger ﷺ.

Benefit:
Obligatory zakāh and required spending are superior to voluntary charity. Allah, Most High, described zakāh, saying: “Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and elevate them” (9:103). It purifies the souls and cleanses them of sins.

In the sacred hadith recorded by al-Bukhārī (6137) from Abū Hurayrah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, declared: “My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him.”
