Tawḍīḥ al-AḥkāmAbd Allah al-Bassam

396 – Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not set out on the Day of Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten a few dates, and he would eat them in odd numbers.” Reported by al-Bukhari.

In a version that al-Bukhari cites without its chain, which Aḥmad later supplies in full, it reads: “and he would eat them one by one (afrādā).”⦗1⦘
