Tawḍīḥ al-AḥkāmAbd Allah al-Bassam

381 – Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Prophet ﷺ used to seek forgiveness for the believing men and believing women every Friday.” Al-Bazzar transmitted it with a weak chain ⦗1⦘.

Hadith grading:
The report is very weak.

The author said: “Al-Bazzar narrated it, and we do not know it from the Prophet ﷺ except through this chain, which contains Yūsuf ibn Khālid al-Samtī; he is extremely weak.”
Ibn Ḥajar states in Taqrīb: “They abandoned him,” and Ibn Maʿīn declared him a liar.
