The methodology followed in preparing this commentary was as follows:

1. Reviewing and verifying the original text.
2. Formatting and arranging it so that it is suitable for printing.
3. Citing each Qurʾanic verse in its proper place within the muṣḥaf.
4. Documenting the ḥadiths concisely: if the ḥadith is found in the two Ṣaḥīḥs—or in either of them—that citation alone is deemed sufficient; if it is found elsewhere, reference is generally limited to the Six Books, together with a brief statement by the ḥadith scholars regarding its soundness or weakness, without exhaustive detail.
5. Collating the text against the edition published by Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University.
6. Reading the commentary to the shaykh so that he might amend, delete, add, or correct whatever he sees fit.

In conclusion, we ask Allah—glorified and exalted—to have granted us success in presenting this work in a satisfactory form, and we beseech Him to make this commentary beneficial to the Muslims at large.
